A Priviledge

This was a delightful little store we had to stop by when my husband spotted it on our tour. it was called shabby slips Home.
This is a mint honey tea with a homemade raspberry lime Popsicle. It was refreshing after a day in the sun touring downtown Austin.

Seize and Savor

Seize from every moment its unique novelty, and do not prepare your joys. - Andre Gide

Just trying to get used to working full time again. Meals are needing to be quick and easy. So thought Id share today meal idea. I used a rotisserie chicken already cooked. I did fry the corn tortilla( for healthier choice you can bake them) I made a creamy guacamole spread with just 2 avocado's, salt, pepper and garlic salt. spread it over the tortilla and cut up the chicken over the top , then added fresh ripe tomatoes. It was so light, fresh and satisfying to the taste buds.

Have a Wonderful weekend. Seize and savor every moment of it :)

Eat Pray Love

Though I did not read the book, I did see the movie and have my opinions about it. Last year when the book came out Oprah interviewed the author. What intrigued me most about her was her courage. Something all of us have only dreamt about. Taking risks in life and really living. As I was watching the movie and had built her up in my mind as this hero who was courageous and zestful about life. I began to take the good parts out of it as it applies to each one of us, desiring to throw cares to the wind and go off in search for true living and honest loving. She learns alot about herself as she journeys through the different countries and cultures taking from them what "she feels" she need to learn from each. It struck me, she is just like us all, searching for the true meaning of life. Learning how to love, how to live with zest. Savoring each day and cherishing each relationship that crosses her path. We all have this deep longing and emptiness we need to fill. You need not look any further. It's God, IT'S GOD. You don't need to travel to a far off land to find yourself or meditate or look deep inside. God is right here. There is no peace in all the world that will fill that soul that is searching. No love in the world will make you feel more complete then when you invite God into your life. Peace Love and Joy will FILL you. So what are you waiting for? Be your own hero... In your own novel ... Invite God in. It is truly amazing and will change your life for all of eternity.

Life Is...

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is Bliss, taste it
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is a sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.

Girlfriends

Earlier this week I had the pleasure of joining a few of my girlfriends for dinner and a movie(Eat Pray Love) We laughed so hard, shared and caught up on each of our lives. We all had such a great evening. As I drove home that night I was filled with such a sense of wellness in my soul. There is nothing like girl talk and good ole girl bonding time.Women share their hearts in such a way that is so supportive and encouraging. I love my husband and I love him more for encouraging my bonds with my girlfriends. They bring me some real joy that spill's over into my life giving me sense of well being.

Live On Purpose

So after 3 yrs of substitute teaching 2-3 days a week, I am back to a full time job. Though we were in training's and inservices most of the week, my body is having to readjust to a full-day again. And I have to be more intentional with my house cleanining, my dinner menu planning and my time spent with my husband and my little Bella-boo.

Julia :)

This is Julia. She is 6 months old and sits well on her own. She was a super cute photo taker. She sat so nice and sweet in the hot sun as her mom and I positioned her around. She did absolutely no fussing. She is so sweet. This is another little adorable model for my portfolio in my endeavour in children's photography.

Cheerful folks

Life is like a blanket too short. You pull it up and your toes rebel, you yank it down and shivers meander about your shoulders: But cheerful folks manage to draw their knee's up and pass a very comfortable night, - Marion Howard
Choose to draw your knee's up. Life is way too short to live in misery. Choose to be cheerful.

Change Your World

Life is a journey. Not so much to a destination but a transformation. Looking back doesn't it seem like our richest times were right in the middle of our hardest? God made us live in community. To laugh and cry, hurt and celebrate with each other no matter what we're going through. And transformation is tough. We don't always end up where we think we will. But we have to remember that even when we struggle to believe in him, he Always believes in us. He fills our life with purpose, and passion, if we just let him. You know the best part of the journey is that the God of the "Universe" sometimes allows us to play a part in changing the world.
So what do you want your life to be about?
This came from the movie "To save a life."- an inspiring story not only for teens but challenges us all to save a life, notice those around us and to reach out. We ARE here for a purpose.

Sleepwear

A dress? A dress you say? No no... this is "sleepwear." It says so on the inside tag. I tried this on, on a whim. A girl does need to treat herself to new pj's, does she not? It keeps thing's fresh. Well, though this looks simple on the clothesline. It's stunning on, and is soooo comfy. It is by Gillian&Omalley. Yes, Target (Target on a sunday :) It's 95% model rayon and 5% spandex. Spandex?! Who knew? It lays perfectly and the cut is very forgiving. It reminds me of the Gap's body sleepwear line. This is my absolute favorite fabric to sleep in. It's dreamy. And it was on sale.
Indulge yourself. Buy new jammies!
