My little dog

My little dog - A heartbeat at my feet. - Edith Wharton
Ok, so I read that one of the "pet peeves" of people reading blogs, is too many pictures of their pet's. So sorry. I love my little Bella-boo so much and I constantly snap shots of her. I thought this one was so cute. This is my favorite chair, I got it at Round Top a few yrs ago. Its my desk chair where I sit and write and create. But she has seemed to adopt it as her "Own"comfy chair too, when it is not occupied. The queen on her thrown. She is so spoiled, but Such a joy.
Have a marvelous week-end

Valley's and Mountaintop's

We are here for a purpose. Our circumstances have a purpose in shaping who we are. Though life has it's highs and lows we come to realize life is not here for the sole purpose of our pursuit of happiness, but rather the opposite. The valley's in our life help us appreciate the mountain tops times and we begin to gain a sense of who we are and a gratefulness for life. Life's up's and down's shape us into the people who we decide to be. We are all just regular people with struggles and joys as we journey along. Though we can mask our deep heart struggles with a smile to the world, eventually we have to deal with the core of ourselves. When people begin to take down their masks and be venerable with each other,we have a responsibility to each other as human beings. To lift each other up in prayer, encourage and be there for one another. And as someone in need we need to realize we need others to help us along our way and accept the help. learn to lean on others when you need to.
We all know someone in need. Are you there for them? and if you are struggling have you taken down your smile and learned the art of "leaning?"

Clean House

Today I spent the day cleaning house. We have had company for the past two weeks so house work had been pushed aside. I moved furniture, cleaned cabinets, swept, dusted, mopped. Wow, amazing how dust accumilates in the small corners when unattended.I felt such a sense of peace.
So how is your Soul? When was the last time you cleaned house? Its time again, clean house of your Soul. Sweep mop, move furniture, get into those unattended corners that have been pushed aside. Make it sparkle. Find Peace. Nothing like a clean soul:)

Suppertime

What's for Supper?
Last week my husband said he didn't want to eat meat any more. I took it serious. Ive gone a month with-out meat and it wasn't so hard.( and bonus, I lost weight) So I immediately looked on line for a veggie recipe. These Kabobs were yummy. So I thought, until my "meat and potato's man" came home and wanted to know where the meat was? Who understands men? So needless to say this is not a do-over unless it is with a side of cow. Email if you want the recipe. It was fast and easy.
So what is for supper tonight? email some recipes. lisa.loraine@yahoo.com

Conversations in a Tea House

My brother came to visit last week. He gave me something special. His undivided attention. We Just talked. How many people will sit down with you, ask how you are doing and really sit and listen. We really had a good time, but it made me really miss and question, who do I really sit and talk to. Really getting to the heart of things. I used to have those people in my life. Now life is so busy, people are busy, life is busy.
A challenge: Connect with a friend on a personal level this week. Really ask how they are doing and give the gift of time... and really listen. listen with your heart. Relationships can be so rich and such a blessing. Make time... it will really make a difference to someone.

A Celebration To Remember

Some Day

Is your life what you thought it would be? Have you become the person you sought out to become? Dont wait to be that person "Some day" Be that person today. Take those steps to becoming the wonderful person you were born to be. One step at a time. Dont worry that it is too late, for it is never too late to "become." Begin Now.
....Some day Ill wish upon a star
and wake up where the clouds are far
behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops.
Away above the chimney tops,
Thats where you'll find me....

Wild Flowers

Every year, around April, these wonderous wild flowers arrive in full bloom. I say to myself next year, I will plant some. I was admiring these on the nxt block from where I live, and had to take a snap shot. Just admiring them from the sidewalk brings me great joy. Stop and smell the flowers in your life. Small things can bring such delight and make the heart feel light.

Dancing in the rain

Caught in the rain today with no umbrella, I ran to my car to take cover from the downpour. My "free spirit" small voice in me, said... "why are you running?" "Why not walk... Dance... Sing?!" but just one of those thoughts you just push back into place. "How absurd, Id get wet," I thought. Well I got soaked anyway trying to avoid the rain , why didn't I just enjoy it?! How great would that have been!
Don't get so caught up in what's the norm and miss out on the greatness of life! It can be Spectacular. Enjoy every bit. Soak up every inch of life. You only live once. So go ahead and dance...Dance in that rain :)

Impacting lives

This morning at church we saw a clip of a family, they went on to explain that some nice people in their neighborhood had come to their door and offered to paint their address on their curb, as a community service... for free. As they began to talk to them they realized they were from a church that encouraged them to "connect with people in their community with act's of service in practical ways." This family was going through allot of difficulty in their lives at the time and at the time looking for a church home. All this was perfect timing. They are now attending church and part of a small group getting the support they needed in their times of difficulty. Was this coincidence or God timing?
We are all called to impact our world. So how can we impact our world on a daily basis? Build relationships with those around you. Share your story. Show kindness. Share God's love. At your work place, in your neighborhood, your community.Go ahead now... Impact lives, the world is waiting!

A Life of Grace

GRACE : The excercise of Love, kindness and mercy to benifit another.
Do you live a life of grace and forgiveness? Do you hold grudges and seek revenge or pardon a wrongdoing? Life is way too short to waste on a hard heart. Grace is to pardon, to choose to love, to display kindness, to show mercy. It will awaken us to the beauty of life. Let go and choose to live a life of grace. Grace is not a prayer you say before a meal, it is a way you live your life.
Grace comes into the soul as the morning sun into the world; first dawning, then light; and at last, the sun in his fullness and excellent brightness. - Thomas adams

Antique Weekend continued...

Here it is! The great pic's of the Antique weekend in Warrington. The beginning of the journey. I took so many pictures it was difficult to choose some to show. It was like being in a candy store.Hope you enjoy the ones I chose.
This is one of my favorite pic's. Love love love it. Love chandelier's and love the color pink. I want to make this into a post card. Soon to be sold in my rent space.
This table was delightful, such simple beauty with the robins eggs, just perfect for the easter weekend.
Here are some Garden decor I enjoy decorating with these outdoor items indoors. it brings grace into your home.
Thought this was a great shabby chic picture.
Here are the famous LIVE OUT LOUD t-shirts I adore matched with a petticoat. So lovely
More chandeliers. A good chandelier makes any ordinary day space extrodinary.
Slips were all the rage. I saved some for later post. So pretty.
More French country house decor. I can appreciate this clean simple look.
Another petticoat. I love them! Wish I was young again. So feminine.
