Restoration

Restoring a peice of furniture can be great fun, choosing the fabric, keeping the the integrity of the peice in mind. But much like restoring a relationship it can be challenging and require a lot of work. Will it ever be the same as its original state? When restoring a relationship, we must reestablish boundrie's, reconstruct order, if something wasnt working we might consider renovation. Trying a new way to deal with issues. Restoring the relationship to a loving, working functioning state. Remember anything worth while can take hard work, but you might be able to restore a relationship that wasnt working well and recreate it into something beautiful.

A Masterpiece

A masterpiece of art contains both light and shadow. A happy life is not one filled with only sunshine, but one which uses both light and shadow to produce beauty. - Billy Graham

Quiet, Still Moments

As I arose early this morning I watched the daylight as it broke into the darkness. We all need those early morning quiet still moments. A time to reflect. Focus deep inside. Clear our head's and listen. To be still. In the bible it says "be still and know that I am God." Be still this morning, draw close.Quiet your mind and listen with your heart...

Easter Decor

This is my Easter decor at my craft spot. Thought Id show off the new items. I found these precious dresses and knew I needed them so I hung them like fresh laundry. It captured the whole essence of the space. I love it.
Carefully hand painted these paper mache eggs for the fresh Easter look I was trying to achieve.
Flowers of course need to be part of any shabby chic area. They bring such joy and brightness to any space. I put them in a pot, painted the pots white , then glazed it over with gold and wiped off. Then for added flare I put Easter grass spilling out. Beautiful. Such a springy look.
I found this adorable bunny at Ross. knew he needed to be part of the decor. I wanted to keep him. He is so cute. Stop by and take a look :) Homestead handcrafts. H116 is my spot.

Spring beckons

As spring beckons, my beating heart flutters at the sight of the great pastels bursting out in the clothing in the stores. The nudes, champagne and pale yellow. You've got to love these hues. They are so soft and feminine and flirty. I just love all the feathery fluff and look at the fresh satin green ribbon. This clothing is like soft whipped frosting.So light and dreamy. Spring is but a whisper away. Can you hear it?
And the spring arose on the garden fair,
Like the spirit of love felt everywhere:
And each flower and herb on Earth's dark breast
rose from the dreams of wintery rest.

A Legacy

My family, in the beginnings. We grew up with love, compassion, laughter, patience, kindness. My father and mother displayed love to each other and taught us to show love and have empathy for those in need. They taught us about the importance of integrity and honor. They taught about God and keeping his word in our hearts. Though we are all grown up now leading our own lives, that legacy has been laid out in our hearts to carry on through generations.
Choose to lay down a legacy in the hearts of your family and know that when your life ends you will have left those behind a mission to carry on. Your life will have meaning that was full of purpose.

Wisdom

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
the courage to change the things I can;
and the wisdom to know the difference.

A LIFE OF LOVE

I long to live a life of love, full of grace and mercy. I long to live a life of peace, with the sound of a soul that is well. I long to display kindness and change the course of a life. I long to help a hurting world and spark hope into a heart of strife. I long to be joyful from deep inside far beyond my circumstances. I long to live a life of prayer having faith that can move a mountain. I long to live a life of compassion, caring for those who are weak. I long to invest my life in a cause to comfort, uplift and lead. To spread Gods love and reveal a gift. The gift of life, the gift of love. I long to lead a life of Love. - Lisa Martinez

Life is fragile

Your life is a gift. Don't take it for granted. Live with a grateful heart full of passion and zest. Live with and thankfulness you are alive. Savor the precious moments that money cant buy and tell your loved ones that you love them, often. Live every moment in all its fullness. Handle heart ache and disappointment with grace and cover it in prayer. Life is ever changing so hold on tight. Stand in the midst of adversity and ask our great big God to stand along side you. Life is so fragile so handle with prayer. Don't waste another minute. Live with abundance of heart full of love, gratefulness and grace.
You only live once, but if you live it right once is enough. - Adam Marshall
